Pediatric anesthesia is as much an art as it is a science. No doubt, technology plays an immensely important role in our daily practice, overall finesse and excellence requires acquisition of fine manual skills, and mastery over good technique. The word "handicraft" has been inspired by a very old medical text "Pye's Surgical Handicraft" first published in 1893. I have endeavored here to present a collection of practical pediatric anesthesia skills and techniques which I have learnt and developed over the years. This manual is our dedication to generations of inspiring mentors past and present who have passed on this handicraft to us. I would encourage you to send me feedback and more tips if you would want them published on this site. Suggestions and any critique is very welcome.
